Welcome Cal Students and Community Members to

Oakland Community Builders!

Oakland Community Builders is a service-learning course for students interested in expanding their academic learning through social action.  This faculty sponsored DECal course is complemented by internship placements with Bay Area grassroots community organizations working to alleviate poverty and other injustices. For student participants, this course provides connections to the greater Bay Area community while joining academic content to reflection sessions, films, guest speakers, and student presentations about prominent social issues.
